NEW BOBBIE MANNIX INTERVIEW
Swing on over to the ODDS & ENDS & OTHERS
section to read the complete interview David Mas did
with
Xanadu Costume Designer Bobbie Mannix on
the occasion of the Xanadu Blu-Ray.

Thanks to Ms. Mannix for the interview and to Mr. Mas
for providing it to us!
DON'T WALK AWAY
A web site that tracks the progress of the
development of Don Bluth's movie version of Dragon
Lair offered some behind the scene stories of HHIS
involvement with Xanadu, the Don't Walk Away
number.

There's a
lot of information included (like the premiere
of the film in NYC). You can read it
HERE!
L. A. WEEKLY ON XANADU
The alternative weekly newspaper L. A. WEEKLY just
came out (in both pint and their web site) an article on
Xanadu, thanks to this weekend's telecast of the Rock
& Roll Hall of Fame that will feature ELO's induction.

The article (
HERE) is a good write-up and featured a
short new interview with Robert Greenwald. The writer
does lean quite a bit on the 'roller disco' label a bit but
it is still a fine read.

As a side bar, the paper, through the official
co-operation with Universal Studios, manages to hunt
down many of the shooting locations, including the
mysterious Platinum Palace. Great detective work!
You can read that piece
