BECK-ABOUND!
Michael Beck has been a bit of noise within the last couple of weeks.
First, it was announced by grind-house/B-movie review magazine Shock Cinema that their latest issue (#41) will contain a major interview with Beck. We haven’t seen the issue yet, but as we’re fans of the mag, we’re looking forward to getting our hands on it. Expect it to hit the stands by the end of February. If you can’t find it, go to their large website and order you own copy.
If you’re a Xanadu fan with $22,500 to burn, Mr. Beck has a deal for YOU!!! Through Sports and Movie Stuff aka Baseball Cards - Movie Collectibles Etc., Beck is selling the actual roller skates he wore during the filming of XANADU. Sometime ago, we reported the sad demise of the ONLY OLIVIA web site and it's message board. Well, it's looks like it's back...in pieces.
One of the original OO operators has taken over the site and has begun to rebuild it, with no message board, but it's better than nothing. Good luck to Richard on the reconstruction!
....and be sure to toss some change his way to keep the site going.

THE APPLE!....hurr...hurr...hurr...
If you read The Xanadu Story, you know we made a brief yet big deal about The Apple and its notoriety on the landscape of late 70’s musicals. The DVD re-issue had been release many years ago but not the original soundtrack. Well, Vinnie Rattolle has posted on his blog a zip file of this beyond-out of print soundtrack!
To make this more interesting, he also has a small section dedicated to the 1978 musical Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band that includes the rare comic book version that Marvel Comics put out only in France!
…and he also posted a zip file of the 1979 LP Universal Studios Tours sold at their park. This last piece should make you late 70’s pop culture a little more complete….we hope! Thanks Vinnie!
